Jérôme Beaugrand-Champagne acts as HB Global Advisors Corp.’s China representative and correspondent.
Jérôme Beaugrand-Champagne is a Canadian lawyer who has been practising law in China for over a decade, with extensive experience in foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, and mining matters. He is fluent in Mandarin, English and French and is a doctorate candidate in economic law at the China University of Political Science and Law.
Mr. Beaugrand-Champagne has acted for various American and European multinationals regarding their investments in China, with a focus on the mining, energy, infrastructure, automobile and real estate sectors. He presently focuses his practice on cross border acquisitions and acts for Chinese state owned enterprises on their outbound investments. Over the years, Mr. Beaugrand-Champagne has forged strong relationships with the business community and governmental agencies in Beijing. He was also the co-founder of Fruits & Passion China, one of Canada’s largest successes in the Chinese retail sector.
Mr. Beaugrand-Champagne is a frequent lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke and at the Barreau du Québec and is actively involved with charities in his community.
Mr. Beaugrand-Champagne resides in Beijing, China.
