Guy Evon Cloutier acts as HB Global Advisors Corp.’s China representative and correspondent.
Mr. Cloutier has 28 years of engineering, construction and project management experience, primarily for projects related to winter sports, food and beverage, and industrial process.
Through the years he has assumed increasingly senior positions at CIMCO, a division of Toromont Industries Ltd, a major Canadian company listed on TSX. Mr. Cloutier is the founder and chairman of Hexagon Ring Holding Ltd., based in Beijing and Hong Kong.
From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Cloutier took the position of Executive Vice-President of CIMCO International Division, during which time he oversaw the strategies, market development, start-up and management of the company’s international offices, in China, Russia, Switzerland, and Morocco. Presently, he is the Chairman and CEO of CTC Group Ltd., the strategic partner and exclusive sales agent of CIMCO in Asia, which provides turnkey projects for sports complexes such as ice rinks and ski domes, and for food processing plants, technology for the coal mining sector, and others.
With many years of practical international business experience in China, Asia, Africa, Russia, the Middle East, and the European Union, and having led both established and start-up businesses, his insight and extensive experience in strategizing, structuring, negotiating and documenting various transactions provide a comprehensive approach to Canada-China trade and investment issues. He also assists a number of Canadian, European, and Chinese corporations in their strategies, development and acquisitions.
Mr. Cloutier sits on the board of Canadian, European and Chinese companies. He also has intensive experience and network in the field of sports around the world, and in China, where he is an active promoter of winter sports.
Mr. Cloutier is also actively involved with various organizations and associations. He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) - China Chapter, and is an active member of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
Mr. Cloutier presently resides in Beijing, China.
